I beg to differ. Really I do. But, Medium expects you to put in some work.

For instance, I follow Rod T Faulkner **waves, hi Rod** And I followed him because I think he is reading interesting stuff. I can see that, because I looked at his profile before I clicked ‘follow’. Now because I follow Rod, and because he read and recommended your story, it was at the top of my page even with only 2 recommends.

Also, and this is great, medium recently changed the ‘each comment is a story’ thing and now shows ‘conversations’ under stories. Give it a little for people to catch on. This will help enormously.

I’ve not put in that much work into building a network yet, but I will, and I’m expecting my feed to be filled with great stuff like this in a couple of months and not notice the Medium cats unless I am really bored and scroll down.
