I find it interesting that all the comments so far are about not recognizing what I am talking about. Because everyone I know* in a social setting, real life or on social media, has at least one of those friends. Maybe I am being a bit too harsh describing them as assholes (that’s directly from the movie btw, “You’re not wrong, you’re just an asshole”) Maybe I should have said “That difficult friend you find yourself explaining to other people”. The sort of person who always seems to be upsetting someone. The person where you say “Oh that’s just who he/she is. If you get to know him/her, you’ll understand they don’t mean it in that way”. These people are not “bad” people…And mostly they would move heaven and earth for you if required. But they will get on your nerves from time to time.

(* I would only say I know someone after a few years. I’ve only been on Medium for about a year. So I am still in the getting-to-know-you phase. I am not saying the commenting people here are not being truthful. I’m just saying that these will be the first people I know, who do not have asshole friends)
