That must feel devastating and oddly personal, to have one person stand in the way of reaching a goal you and others have worked so hard for. There must be a lot of serenity prayers (or the closest equivalent) being said these days.

It is just a matter of time now. I am sad for the people who don’t have the time to see it happen in their life, but if it’s true there is only one more heart and mind to change, and your church is filled with people even half as great as alto and you, you’ve got this.
