Oh yes. I know. Catholicism never really took hold in me, but there’s this feeling of fundamental wrongness about killing even a scary creepy animal.

(except mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are evil and I will swat them without a second thought.)

This is how the boa constrictor ‘accidentally’ ended up on the neighbors side of the fence. Boas are an invasive species on Aruba and wreaking havoc on our bird and rabbit population (probably lizards too, but no one really cares about the lizards; they are so plenty full)

There’s a ‘kill on sight’ order out on boas. There’s also government sponsored boa hunting parties from time to time.

So when I found this beauty on the fence, it somehow got pushed over to the other side. And then I walked around to the neighbor’s front door and explained there was a boa in their yard.

Cowardly, I know.
