Thank you for responding.
It’s true that no one will win if everyone starts playing dirty. I actually agree that “he started it” is an argument for 5 year olds lol.
While I’m not going to argue your motto, it sounds like a pretty solid way to live, I do wonder if you are not putting a little too much weight on physically harm. Skin and bones tend to heal and scars make for a cool story.
But have you considered human’s tendency to learn quickly and pay much more attention on the negative lessons. If something bad happens the first natural instinct is to not do that again. In the case of online sexual misbehavior it happens all day every day. Even if you chose to not take it personal, the lesson seems to be what you are hearing a lot of women who get labeled things like ‘feminazi’ “All men are bad” See how that is not personal? It’s not me, it’s them.
That’s the other side of the staying quiet coin. Since no one speaks up about the guys who are acting without respect, since there is no method for deciding who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, the one option still left is to act as if the whole group is the problem. In this case the half of the world’s population. That is absurd. And yet I do it too. Strange men can’t message me. Because being disappointed is tiring.
