The Shack

Erotic short story

The Beach Shack tried very hard to look the part. A closer inspection would soon reveal the wood was heavily treated to give that sun-bleached look, the peeling paint was applied that way on purpose and the worn patches on the furniture came from sandpaper instead of usage. But even to the indiscriminate eye, the size of the building and the fully air-conditioned interior quickly gave away that The Beach Shack was a shack in name only.

As tacky as the place was, it was the best retail job Emily had worked in her four years of retail experience. It wasn’t terribly hard to sell their assortment of bathing suits, T-shirts and inflatable toys to tourists on the beach. Most people’s moods were as sunny as the weather outside. Best of all, they had just promoted her to assistant manager and gave her the Friday off with pay after just four months!

There was only one downside to the job. As with most businesses at the lagoon, there was an inexplicably high turnover. A text from Joanne on Monday morning told her she would be getting a new coworker today. He had been trained on the register already. She just needed to break him in on the rest.

The last thing she wanted to do on her day back from a long weekend was babysit the new guy, but she couldn’t really refuse. It would be just the two of them in the store. She knew training would be part of the job when she accepted the assistant manager position.

He was already waiting for her when she got to the Shack; a lanky man with a mess of brown curls and a narrow face. She put on her best customer service smile and went to greet him.

When she heard him speak, it was like the world turned upside down. He had a voice that sounded like dark chocolate poured over gravel. A deep, raspy cadence that resonated in a part of her she couldn’t quite identify. She felt cold and warm at the same time. It was like his voice ran over her skin in a tingle that slowly seeped into her brain, turning it to mush. There were words, but they lost all meaning. All she heard was sound and she never wanted it to stop.

Was this what those ASMR videos did to people? No wonder they exploded in popularity.

It wasn’t until she heard him chuckle that she realized how she must have looked; eyes wide, mouth agape, every hair on her body standing on end — it certainly was far from professional. A blush crept onto her cheeks.

“I…I’m sorry, I…” she stuttered.

“Don’t be sorry,” he said. “I’m used to this sort of reaction. People don’t expect me to sound the way I sound.”

“I really am sorry. I…I didn’t catch you name.”

“Dylan. Dylan Jones. People call me D.J.”

“Nice to meet you, D.J. I’m Emily.”

“Hi Emily.” He took her hand to shake it. His grip felt strong without squeezing.

“Hi,” she breathed. Hearing him say her name did something to make her heartbeat pick up. Dylan let go of her hand, causing her to snap out of it. She cleared her throat and did her best to pull herself together. “Alright, lets get you started.”

“Yes Ma’am”

All through the day Emily kept Dylan as busy as possible with different tasks. When there was nothing really to do she made something up, like refolding stacks of T-shirts. She was trying to keep him from talking to her. Every time he spoke, she had this strong visceral reaction — shivers ran down her spine and she completely lost her train of thought. And then it would take some time to regain her ability to focus. She was getting frustrated with herself. This wasn’t the time or place to be swooning like a schoolgirl over some guy she just met.

The doors to the Shack were already locked for the night, when Emily walked into the back storage room. She had told Dylan she had to get some more stock. In reality she had fled there to delay the customary small talk that went along with closing up shop. She needed a moment to pull herself together and get over whatever this was she was going through.

Her phone rang. The caller ID showed it was Joanne.

“So I just wanted to check in, how did it go with the new guy?”

She could hear Joanne’s smile in her voice.

“He’s a hard worker, but my God… have you met him?” Emily asked.

Laughter on the other end of the line.

“Yeah, I trained him on the register.”

“I can’t deal with this, Joanne. I’ve been completely off balance all day.”

“He has a great voice, doesn’t he?”

“He says two words and all I can think about is what it would be like to have him moaning in my ear,” Emily admitted.

“I don’t mean to interrupt a private conversation,” Dylan’s voice suddenly sounded from right behind her.

Emily let out a startled yelp and dropped the phone she was holding. It hit the bare concrete floor with a telltale crunch. A shard of the screen skidded away under one of the shelving units.

“Oh, no,” Dylan said and dropped to his knees next to Emily to pick up the phone. “Sorry, Emily.”

He stood up and held out the phone. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” Emily breathed.

She reached out to take the phone from him, instead he put the phone on a shelf next to him and took her hand in his.

“Are you sure? You are trembling.”

“I’m fine,” she managed to squeak and gently pulled her hand away from him.

“I didn’t mean to scare you.”

A single laugh escaped her. “Scared is not the word. I am fine. Don’t worry about it. What can I do for you?”

“I, eh,” he ran his hand through his hair. “I quit. I don’t think this is going to work out for me.”

Emily cringed. “You overheard me, didn’t you? I am so so sorry Dylan. I was way out of line and…”

“No, no,” Dylan quickly interjected. “It wasn’t you! I mean…”

“…should have never said what I said. Hell, I shouldn’t even have been thinking it. And it shouldn’t have mattered that I thought you’d never know what I had been thinking…”

“…I think you are great. That’s kind of the problem, but it’s fully my fault for how this turned out, but I’m not sure what else I could do because…”

They realized they were talking over each other at the same time and both fell quiet. Emily broke the tense silence after a few seconds. “You heard what I said about you, though.”

“No, I…Yeah, I heard.” he reluctantly admitted.

“Ah, shit.” Emily sighed. She turned her back to him and looked up to the ceiling in embarrassed frustration. How was she going to fix this mess?

Dylan made a sound that was almost a laugh and took a step closer towards her. He was standing right behind her, almost touching. “I heard what you said,” he said softly. His voice had dropped even lower in his whisper. She could feel his breath caress the skin of her neck. “I don’t mind what you said. I wanted to quit, because…”

His hands slipped around her waist and pulled her towards him.

“…Because it is just too painful to have to work all day with a raging hard-on.” He pushed his hips forward. She could feel his erection press up against her ass. A gasp escaped her lips. He slowly ran his hands up and down her sides.

“It’s too hard to focus when all I can think about is the things I want to do to you when I get you alone,” he growled. She could feel her knees buckle. The only reason she wasn’t falling was because she was leaning against Dylan.

His hands stopped moving. He was breathing heavy near her ear. “Just tell me to stop,” he said.

“God, please don’t stop,” She pleaded breathlessly.

His hands moved over her body to cup her breasts, He sucked in air trough his teeth, exhaling most of it over the little bit of her shoulder the was exposed by her top. He kissed her skin there. When he spoke again, she felt his lips brush against her skin. “You’ve been torture all day. Tell me to stop or I will fuck you right here, right now.”

Emily moaned. She reached up and ran her hand though his hair on the back of his head. Dylan’s hand slid down over her belly. It found its way to the hemline of her skirt, pulling it up. He dug his fingertips into the flesh of her inner thigh.

“I wanted to fuck you the moment I saw you walk up.” The low tones of his voice send tingles all through her body. She opened her legs. His fingers pushed past her underwear. They rubbed up and down her pussy, slipping in between her lips. They found her clitoris and put light pressure on it. She shivered.

“Oh yes,” Emily moaned.

He removed his hand from between her legs to open his trousers. He pulled her skirt up over her hips and moved her panties to the side. The tip of his cock pressed up against her vagina opening, not quite penetrating. “Right here in the back room, at work? You’re just going to let me fuck you?”

“Yes. Fuck me,” she whispered.

Before the words were cold on her lips Dylan thrust forwards with his hips. She gasped as she felt his penis push all the way inside her. He grunted in pleasure in her ear. A wave of heat rolled through her. She felt her muscles tense, squeezing tight around his cock as if she wanted to prevent him from pulling out. Hearing him moan was even better than she imagined.

Her whole body was trembling. She couldn’t trust her legs to support her. She bend over slightly and grabbed the shelving unit to keep her upright. Dylan took advantage of it by grabbing her hips for leverage. He started fucking her harder. She moaned loudly pushing back into him, inviting him to go deeper.

“Oh fuck yes,” he growled.

She felt his cock starting to throb inside her. Waves of pleasure washed up and down her body, increasing with each thrust.

“Oh god!”

He was pounding her as hard as he could. She was clawing at the worn wood of the shelves without knowing it. She was almost screaming in pleasure. Her climax came in waves, relentless, without stopping, until he gave one final deep thrust with a moan loud enough to match her own.

They stood like this for a moment, catching their breath. Her pussy pulsating around his still hard penis.

Then he pulled out, and turned her to face him. He embraced her and gave her a long deep kiss.

Their kiss got interrupted by his smartphone going off. He let go of her with a short chuckle and answered his phone.

“Yeah, hello?”

Emily watched the color drain from Dylan’s face as he listened to the person on the other end of the line. He then suddenly looked around the room and turned bright red.

“Okay. Thanks. I’ll do that.” he said and hung up.

Emily gave him a questioning look.

“Soooooooooo, that was Joanne,” Dylan said. “Turns out breaking the screen doesn’t necessarily end the call. She told us we might want to go into the office and delete the security camera footage from today before leaving.”

Emily stared at him with her mouth hanging open, completely speechless.

“Yeah…” Dylan said.

She hid her face in her hands. “Oh, no.”

“Yeah,” he repeated. There were a few seconds of silence between them. Then a grin broke out on Dylan’s face. “Joanne also told me the Shack doesn’t have any rules against employees dating.”
