Yes. This is pretty much my problem. I am writing a story, which is going to be filled with sex, but the build up is pretty long. Although some people told me they enjoy the tension I’m building up so it might not be a bad thing.

Interestingly the people who told me were women.

I read on Justin Lehmiller’s Sex and Psychology blog that this is the first real difference between men’s fantasies and women’s fantasies. Women tend to mention setting and buildup much more than men do. (and he should know. He’s done some extensive studies into fantasies)

The reason for my story is the power dynamic in a relationship where a woman is exploring her dominant side for the first time, while not giving up her submissive side because she like that. In other words, how being ‘switch’ can feel and work.

So the story is mostly about a relationship. Of course the point of the power dynamic in the relationship is mostly sex.

Writer of fiction, blogs and erotica. Frequency in that order. Popularity in reverse.
